Oonagh Glancy

Oonagh studied fine Art up to masters level 2012 in Falmouth University where she explored colour and discovered a tendency to mood and atmosphere underpinned by narrative. This was developed further in recent Years by explorations in tone through printmaking with the Tamar Valley Printmakers. Much of her work is influenced by working with women and families in a public health capacity in both London and the West Country, more recently as a key worker in the Covid-19 pandemic. Her role included driving through the moody landscapes that lie between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, surrounding countryside of the Tamar Valley and the beautiful Cornish coastline. Oonagh develops her work through a mixture of direct observation, sketchbooks and photography trying to capture a piece of time with an interchange of evolving motifs and themes.
